Luftwaffe Eurofighter Typhoon twin-seat

All pilots of the German Air Force receive their conversion training for the Eurofighter at Tactical Fighter Wings 73 “Steinhoff” at Laage Air Base, close to Rostock in Northeastern Germany. 30+01 was the first two-seater to be delivered to the German armed forces, and is still active today. Johannes “Macky” Steinhoff was a WW2 fighter ace and later became a central figure in the reorganization of the German Air Force during the Cold War.
