The ATR-72 played a significant role in the modernization of LOT Polish Airlines in the early 1990s. Following the fall of communism in Poland, LOT began transitioning its fleet from Soviet-era aircraft to Western models. The ATR-72 was first introduced in August 1991, replacing Antonov AN-24 turboprops that had been in use since the 1960s. The ATRs were deployed on regional and also international routes to neighboring countries. Herpa SnapFit models shine with an unbeatable value for money. They come with a display stand and can be assembled in a few simple steps without the need for glue or other tools.
