The government of the former German Democratic Republic (GDR) maintained a full-size fleet of so-called VIP-airplanes. Among them were numerous Tu-134As, of which from 1971 on, some were equipped with the colors of the National People’s Army (NVA) and some with the colors of the state airline Interflug.
