Based on the aircraft of the Deutschen Bundesluftwaffe, Canada has also acquired a small fleet of former civilian Airbus A310-300s and is currently reconverting two of the machines, designated CC-150 Polaris in Canada, into “Multi Role Tanker Transporters”. The “Polaris” will serve as refueling airplane and passenger- and freight transporter as well as for VIP-operations and ambulance flights.
